The Purchasing Department would like to announce that our current confidential document destruction supplier, On-Site Information Destruction Services of Iowa, LLC has been acquired by Shred-it, a Stericycle solution.   Shred-it will begin the process of combining operations over the coming weeks with full implementation by February 4, 2019.  

The University is working with On-Site and Shred-it to make this a smooth transition and no service disruptions are anticipated. All current On-Site accounts will automatically transition to Shred-it, no action is currently required by departments.

Important Things to Know     

• No action is currently required by University users. In the event action is needed by a department the Purchasing Department will contact departments with next steps.
• Users will soon begin to see brand changes on invoices, trucks, containers and driver uniforms. 
• Shred-It will continue to submit invoices to account holders as currently being provided by On-Site.
• There will not be any changes to departmental costs.
• The University will continue to be served by the current drivers. 
• There will not be any changes to containers or their locations, except logo changes to the bins. 
• There will not be any changes to existing service schedules or response times.
